A Tar Heel state prospect will make his way to Clemson next week.

Three-star WR Namajay Thompson (Crest, NC) tells The Clemson Insider that he plans to visit next Friday, March 6, to attend a spring practice.

The 6-foot wideout has seen his recruitment really take off in recent weeks, with North Carolina, NC State, Florida, Virginia Tech, Alabama and Michigan State all offering this month. The Tigers have yet to offer.

Thompson has already set an official visit to Wake Forest (May 29-31), which is the weekend Clemson will host officials. Duke (June 5-7), Alabama (June 12-14) and Michigan State (June 19-21) are each scheduled to get an official, as well.

As a junior, Thompson had 53 catches for 865 yards with 14 touchdowns, earning all-conference honors..
