Highly-Rated QB Sets Two Visits to Clemson

One of the top quarterbacks in the 2028 class will visit Clemson twice in the coming weeks.

Four-star Trace Hawkins (Calhoun, GA) tells The Clemson Insider that he plans to be on hand for the spring game on March 28, then return to campus for a second spring visit on April 11.

“I have been in contact with Clemson and Coach (Tajh) Boyd a lot here lately,” Hawkins told TCI. “I can’t wait to see what he has to show in his new role and how the team is gonna compete this year.”

The 6-foot signal caller made his first visit to Clemson last season for the Duke game.

Georgia Tech, Auburn, Indiana, SMU and Florida are some of the offers Hawkins already has.

As a sophomore last season, Hawkins threw for 2,442 yards with 24 touchdowns to just three interceptions. He also had three rushing touchdowns.

Rivals ranks Hawkins No. 68 overall and as the fifth-best quarterback in the class. He also ranks No. 7 in the state of Georgia.
