CLEMSON — Through the first eight practices of the spring, Clemson’s freshman quarterbacks, Tait Reynolds and Brock Bradley, have made there presence known.
Following Monday’s practice, quarterbacks Christopher Vizzina and Chris Denson, who are listed No. 1 and No. 2 at the moment to be Clemson’s next starting quarterback, were asked about the two freshmen and how they have look so far.
“They are two guys that came in here and they want to get after it,” Vizzina said. “You see some guys, some freshmen come in, and they kinda want to feel the water a little bit. What I like about them is that when they make mistakes, they make mistakes going full speed. They commit to what they are doing.
“That is the best way to do it because when you come in as a freshman, you have a lot of adjustments to do. You can build on the habits you already have and correct your mistakes. You are going to grow so much faster over the spring. Those guys have come in and they have asked me questions. They have asked Chris questions, they have asked Trent (Pearman) questions. They want to absorb as much as they can because that is one of the pros of skipping your second semester of senior year (of high school) and coming in early. You get those spring reps and add them to your arsenal before you get into the summer. I feel at quarterback, you really do have to come early.”

Vizzina said when he first came to Clemson, getting those extra reps really helped him. Denson also came in early and it helped him be better prepared for his first summer, too.
The redshirt freshman says he is seeing the confidence build in both Reynolds and Bradley.
“I feel like freshmen, when they come in, they are not as confident,” Denson said. “You have guys like (defensive end) Will Heldt running at you. But those two guys gave been really good. They have been learning things, picking up things fast, asking questions.
“They have been great. We love those guys in that room.”
Clemson will practice again on Wednesday before taking the next week off for Spring Break. The Tigers will return to practice on March 22.
