The Elite Retreat last weekend served as the first time Sidney Rouleau has visited Clemson.
The four-star offensive lineman originally hailed from Canada before moving to The Pennington School in New Jersey. He transferred to The Brook Hill School in Texas ahead of the 2025 season.
“My first visit to Clemson was great,” Rouleau told The Clemson Insider. “What stood out most was the culture and how close the team and coaches are.”
Now that he’s visited, the 6-foot-6, 300-pounder was able to leave town with an offer in hand.
“I was really excited to get the offer,” Rouleau added. “Because Clemson is very selective and it means a lot that they believe in me.”
While on campus, Rouleau attended a spring practice, giving him an opportunity to see offensive line coach Matt Luke’s coaching style.
“Matt Luke seems like a very intense coach,” Rouleau said. “He really pushes his players to improve.”
ESPN ranks Rouleau No. 120 overall and No. 12 among all interior linemen in the 2027 class. He also ranks No. 19 in the state of Texas.
Tennessee, Miami, Michigan and Florida are some of the other schools heavily involved. SMU is also a major factor, with Rouleau already setting an official visit with the Mustangs.
The blue-chip talent has yet to firm up a timeline for making a decision. He wants to take his time and be thorough.
Clemson certainly gave him something to think about during the visit, and the Tigers are being strongly considered when it comes to getting an official visit this summer.
“Now that I have the offer, Clemson is definitely one of the schools I’m strongly considering,” Rouleau said. “I have a few other visits planned, and Clemson will definitely be in the conversation for an official visit.”
