CLEMSON — Clemson head coach Brad Brownell spoke to the media following the Tigers’ selection into the NCAA Tournament on Sunday.
Clemson will play in the South Regional of the tournament where it will be the No. 8 seed. The Tigers play No. 9 Iowa in Tampa, Fla., on Friday.
“We do not take these for granted. It is a lot of hard work that goes into this,” Brownell said. “I am really proud of our team. These guys have given us maximum effort all year.”
The Tigers earned the at-large bid thanks to its 24-10 record, which included a tie for No. 4 in the ACC standings. They also advanced to the semifinals of the ACC Tournament and beat No. 4 seed North Carolina in the tournament for the second time in ACC history and for the first time in 30 years.
