Clemson Slides Down Latest National Rankings

After suffering its first series loss of the 2026 season, Clemson slid down the latest college baseball rankings, released Monday.

In the D1Baseball Top 25, Clemson plummeted from No. 11 to No. 19.

Meanwhile, the Tigers also dropped from No. 11 to No. 19 in the Perfect Game Top 25.

In the USA TODAY Sports coaches poll, Clemson fell from No. 9 to No. 17, while the Tigers slipped from No. 12 to No. 14 in the Baseball America Top 25.

Clemson is now 16-4 overall on the season and 1-2 in the ACC after losing a neutral-site contest to Georgia Southern on Tuesday in North Augusta, S.C., and then losing two games against No. 3 Georgia Tech in a three-game series from Thursday-Saturday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson.

The Tigers overcame a 5-2 deficit with eight runs in the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth inning in their 13-7 victory over the Yellow Jackets on Saturday to salvage the final game of the set.

Clemson plays five road games this week, beginning with a game at College of Charleston at 6 p.m. Tuesday on FloCollege.
