Latest Clemson 1st-Round Projections from Kiper, Klatt, Jeremiah

Mock drafts are rolling out online ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, which is set to take place in Pittsburgh from April 23-25.

Longtime ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. is among those who have recently released a new mock draft — as are NFL Network draft guru/former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah and FOX Sports’ lead college football analyst, Joel Klatt, who has also been a contributor to NFL Network’s draft coverage in recent years.

Kiper, Jeremiah and Klatt all currently project at least two Clemson players to hear their names called in the first round. Kiper and Klatt each predict three Tigers to be taken in Round 1.

Kiper’s latest mock draft has Clemson defensive tackle Peter Woods going to the Los Angeles Chargers with the No. 22 overall pick.

“After the Chargers attacked their interior offensive line problem before free agency even opened, they can turn their attention to the defensive line and a high-upside player such as Woods in the first round,” Kiper wrote. “Some teams will be worried about his lack of production last season (two sacks), but his potential is robust as an NFL 3-technique. He could add some punch to the Chargers’ defensive front as a penetrating interior havoc-wreaker.”

Kiper then sees Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell and Clemson offensive tackle Blake Miller coming off the board with back-to-back first-round picks – Terrell to the Buffalo Bills at No. 26, and Miller to the San Francisco 49ers at No. 27.

“The Bills’ tight salary cap led to some cornerback changes this offseason, with the team cutting Dane Jackson, trading Taron Johnson and letting Tre’Davious White hit free agency. They have Christian Benford and 2025 first-rounder Maxwell Hairston in place, but the depth is shallow. Terrell is great in man coverage, showing the ability to stick on receivers. He didn’t come away with any interceptions last season, but he broke up nine passes,” Kiper wrote.

Added Kiper of Miller: “You probably see an offensive tackle to San Francisco and think ‘Trent Williams heir apparent.’ But Miller actually played 97% of his college snaps on the right side. Perhaps he’d transition to left tackle if the Niners can’t figure out Williams’ contract situation, but I like Miller as an upgrade over Colton McKivitz on the right side regardless of what happens there. The 6-7, 317-pound Miller would bring consistency and reliability to this O-line. (San Francisco also signed Vederian Lowe as some insurance at left tackle.)”

Meanwhile, Jeremiah’s latest mock draft has Clemson edge rusher T.J. Parker being the first Clemson player taken in the 2026 NFL Draft, as the No. 20 overall pick of the Dallas Cowboys.

“Parker is a polarizing player this year after his production dipped in 2025,” Jeremiah wrote. “But he had a strong finish to the season, and he followed that up with an impressive performance at the Senior Bowl.”

One pick later, Jeremiah sees the Pittsburgh Steelers selecting Miller with the No. 21 overall pick.

“Broderick Jones has underwhelmed at left tackle,” Jeremiah wrote. “With Miller in the fold, Troy Fautanu could move to the blind side in Jones’ place, thus clearing a spot for the rookie at RT.”

Meanwhile, Klatt’s latest mock draft projects Miller and Woods to be picked consecutively in Round 1 – Miller to the Detroit Lions at No. 17, and Woods to the Minnesota Vikings at No. 18.

“The Lions are reshuffling their offensive line this season, with Penei Sewell going from right to left tackle following the departure of Taylor Decker. Miller was one of these Clemson prospects that some might not value as much considering the Tigers’ down season, but he has got a ton of experience and played well,” Klatt wrote.

Added Klatt of Woods: “Another Clemson guy off the board. Woods is a talented player, and I thought he was going to be a top-10 pick entering the 2025 season. Still, when you look at his entire college career, he’s worthy of being selected here. He could really help the Vikings.”

Klatt’s mock draft concludes with Parker going to the Seattle Seahawks with the 32nd overall selection – the final pick of the first round.

“The Seahawks lost some key pieces from their title-winning team, so general manager John Schneider will look to add some good value,” Klatt wrote. “Parker fits that bill, and he might be a steal if you can get him with the last pick of the first round. The Seahawks still have to deal with Stafford and some other talented passing games this season. Adding another pass rusher would go a long way in helping to repeat.”
