Where Is Vizzina in These Spring ACC QB Rankings?

A couple of national outlets recently stacked up all 17 ACC quarterbacks, as things stand right now in spring ball.

So, where did Clemson’s projected starting signal caller – Christopher Vizzina – land on the lists?

The rising redshirt junior and former top-50 national prospect from Alabama checked in at No. 9 in CBS Sports’ spring quarterback rankings for the ACC.

“The Cade Klubnik era is over — for better or worse — and it looks like Vizzina will step in as his replacement in 2026,” Austin Nivison wrote.

“According to 247Sports, Vizzina was a four-star prospect and the No. 10 quarterback in the 2023 recruiting cycle, but he’s only attempted 105 passes at the college level. The bulk of those attempts came last season, when Vizzina got his first start against SMU, and he performed well. Vizzina threw for 317 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-24 loss.”

Vizzina slots in around the same spot in Athlon Sports’ spring QB rankings for the ACC, with Athlon’s Steven Lassan ranking the 6-foot-4, 210-pounder at No. 10.

“Vizzina – a former four-star recruit – takes the reins of Clemson’s offense after 14 appearances over the last three seasons,” Lassan wrote. “Included in that stretch was a start against SMU in ‘25, as the Alabama native threw for 317 yards and three scores in a 35-24 defeat. During his career with the Tigers, Vizzina has passed for 596 yards and four touchdowns and added 109 yards and a score on the ground. Can the return of former play-caller Chad Morris help to spark Clemson’s offense and help Vizzina’s career take off?”

Miami’s Darian Mensah is No. 1 in the CBS Sports ACC QB rankings, followed by NC State’s CJ Bailey, SMU’s Kevin Jennings, Cal’s Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele and Pitt’s Mason Heintschel.

Mensah also occupies the top spot in Athlon’s ACC QB rankings, with Jennings, Bailey, Sagapolutele and Syracuse’s Steve Angeli rounding out the top five, in that order.

Stanford’s Davis Warren is last on both of those lists.
