Michael Martin is certainly no stranger to Clemson.
The top in-state running back, per Prep Red Zone, has visited numerous times in the past, including twice already this spring. Martin (Christ Church) tells The Clemson Insider that he will visit for a third time this spring on Sunday, the Tigers’ first practice after returning from spring break. He also plans to attend the spring game on March 28.
Martin was also on campus for most of the team’s home games in 2025.
“I like visiting Clemson so often because of the relationship I have with Coach Spiller and the entire staff,” Martin told TCI. “They make me feel like I’m a priority to them.”
Martin is fresh off a visit to Duke. He’s also visited South Carolina and North Carolina this spring.
As a sophomore, the 5-foot-9, 190-pound recruit rushed for more than 1,400 yards, averaging 5.5 yards per carry and scoring 30 rushing touchdowns, while earning 3A all-state honors.
