CLEMSON — Clemson is set to play host to a fast-rising wide receiver prospect on Monday.
Four-star wideout Deshawn Hall (Prattville, AL) will be back on campus on Monday. This marks the first time he’s visited since the season-opener against LSU.
Since that last visit, wide receivers coach Tyler Grisham has stayed in contact, with new offensive coordinator Chad Morris getting involved after his hiring.
“I talk to the coaches day-to-day,” Hall told The Clemson Insider on his way to campus Monday morning. “We have a very strong relationship. Recently, we have been talking about me getting up there. But they have really expressed how they like my game and how I could make an impact on the team.”
Hall will attend position meetings, which will give him a better idea of what Clemson’s offense will look like with Morris running the show.
“Coach Chad, he is real cool,” Hall said. “Him and Coach Grisham. I am not sure how the offense is going to be, but I will be in position meetings (Monday) morning. I am definitely looking forward to it.”
Hall has seen his recruitment really take off of late. Florida State, Ole Miss, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State and Louisville are just some of the offers he’s added in the month of March. Penn State, Auburn and Tennessee have also offered. He also has a handful of basketball offers.
While Clemson has yet top offer, Hall feels like that is a circumstance that will change during this visit.
“They say I have been really, really close,” Hall said. “I am really confident that I get one today. It would definitely mean a lot. This ain’t one of those offers that coaches just hand out. You really got to be a top-notch player. You really got to work for this one.”
As a junior, Hall had 40 catches for 660 yards with five touchdowns.
247 ranks Hall No. 173 overall, No. 23 among all wideouts in the 2027 class and No. 10 in the state of Alabama.
After his trip to Clemson, Hall heads to Florida on Tuesday and then to Tennessee on Thursday. As of now, he says he has locked in four official visits. He will be at Clemson’s big weekend from May 29-31. He says Alabama (June 6-7), Auburn (June 12-14) and Tennessee (June 19-21) will also get officials.
The blue-chip talent is looking to have a decision made before the start of his senior season.
“The main thing is the relationship with the coaches,” Hall said. “Who can I really trust to put my next few years in. I am also looking for development. What program can really develop me to not only be the best wide receiver I can be, but as a man as well. I am just looking for a place. I am just looking for a place I can thrive in.”
