Clemson Player Named ACC Pitcher of the Week

CLEMSON — For the second time this season, junior Sierra Maness has garnered weekly ACC honors by being named the ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week for games played March 17-22, the conference office announced Tuesday.

This is the third weekly conference honor the Tigers have earned during the 2026 season, and the 13th ACC Pitcher of the Week award Clemson has garnered in program history.

Last week, Maness picked up three victories in the circle and held a 0.79 ERA. Over her three appearances, the junior pitched 17.2 innings and garnered 13 strikeouts.  She allowed only eight hits, none of which were for extra bases, and limited opponents to a .133 average while only walking three throughout the week. Maness notched her first win of the week with 3.2 innings of relief work at Western Carolina, where she struck out six without giving up a walk.

She carried that momentum into Friday’s series opener at Notre Dame where she clinched her third solo shutout after limiting the Fighting Irish to only three hits. This was Clemson’s ACC-leading 10th shutout of the year. The Woodruff, S.C. native concluded the weekend with another complete-game performance against the Fighting Irish to secure the series win for the Tigers. She struck out three while only allowing three hits.

The Tigers return to the field on Wednesday, March 25 when they travel to Columbia, S.C. for a 7:30 p.m. matchup against the Gamecocks in the Palmetto Series presented by the South Carolina Education Lottery. Fans can also catch the game live on SEC Network.
