A national outlet weighed in on 2026 ACC win totals, breaking down the over/under win totals for all 17 football teams in the conference.
The over/under win total for Clemson at FanDuel Sportsbook is 7.5, and CBS Sports is picking the over on that number for the Tigers.
CBS Sports’ Brad Crawford gave his prediction for all 12 games on Clemson’s regular season schedule, picking the Tigers to win every game but three — the season opener at LSU on Sept. 5, the home showdown against Miami on Oct. 3, and the regular season ACC finale at Duke on Nov. 21.
Of course, if Crawford’s predictions turn out to be right, that would mean a 9-3 record (6-2 ACC) for Clemson this season.
Here’s what Crawford had to say in his analysis of Clemson ahead of the 2026 campaign:
“Mega changes to Clemson’s coaching staff this offseason bring a fresh outlook for the Tigers, but not enough to warrant playoff billing just yet. There are a couple of potential first-rounders in the two-deep for Dabo Swinney, and he knows his lineup is good enough to be in the ACC’s top tier if execution is sharp. There’s a chance the rivalry matchup with South Carolina could come against a team struggling to stay above water during what could be Shane Beamer’s final season with the Gamecocks.”
Clemson heads into the upcoming season hoping to bounce back from a 7-6 record in 2025, the second-worst season in Dabo Swinney’s tenure at Clemson.
When Swinney’s Tigers open the 2026 season at LSU, it will mark Clemson’s first trip to Baton Rouge and Clemson’s first time opening a season in an SEC venue since opening its 2016 national championship season with a 19-13 win at Auburn.
Clemson and LSU faced one another at neutral sites in postseason play four times before the two sets of Tigers met in Clemson in the 2025 season opener for their first regular season, on-campus meeting in series history – a 17-10 win for LSU in what was a top-10 matchup at the time.
