Clemson Forward Entering Transfer Portal

CLEMSON — Clemson has lost its first player to the transfer portal.

Junior forward Jake Wahlin announced on Friday that he is entering the portal, which opens on April 7.

Wahlin spent one season with the Tigers and averaged 5.3 points per game, while shooting 34% from three-point range. He started 29 games.

Prior to his time at Clemson, the 6-foot-10 player spent two seasons at Utah.

“I want to express my appreciation and gratitude to Clemson University and the incredible fans for welcoming me with so much love,” Wahlin posted on social media. “After a year in Tiger Town, I’ve built many deep and meaningful relationships I’ll forever be thankful for. I’m thankful for the coaching staff and entire community for the opportunity to be a part of an incredible culture. To my teammates, thank you for an incredible year. I loved every moment competing alongside my brothers and being a part of a historic season.

“I have decided to enter the transfer portal to explore my options and determine the best path forward for my future.

“Thank you, Clemson.”
