One of the top safeties in the nation has included Clemson in his list of finalists.

Four-star Ta’Shawn Poole released his top six schools on Thursday, with Clemson, LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and Tennessee all making the cut.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound safety picked up an offer from the Tigers after attending the Elite Retreat early last month. Poole plans to attend Clemson’s big official visit weekend, May 29-31.

The coveted recruit owns more than 30 offers in total, including other offers he received this year from Indiana, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Mississippi State and Wake Forest. Poole recently earned “Alpha Dog” honors at an Under Armor camp.

Poole is ranked among the country’s top five safety prospects in the 2027 class according to Rivals, 247Sports and ESPN. He is ranked as high as the No. 42 overall prospect in his class, regardless of position, by ESPN.
