Clemson Gymnastics Advances to NCAA Regional Finals

BATON ROUGE, La. – Clemson was one of four teams to advance to the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional Final as the No. 15 seeded Tigers posted a 196.800 to finish second in the semifinal.

The Tigers are one of 16 teams nationally to advance to the Final. Clemson will now take on No. 2 LSU, No. 7 Stanford and No. 10 Michigan on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on ESPN+.

The top two teams from each of the four regionals advance to the NCAA National Championships in Fort Worth, Texas. 

Clemson is under the direction of first-year Co-Head Coaches Justin Howell and Elisabeth Crandall-Howell, who have now made a Regional Final in 11 consecutive seasons. 

It is Clemson’s first time advancing to a Regional Final in its third season overall. Graduate Brie Clark led Clemson on beam (9.875), vault (career-high 9.900) and floor (9.950). In its final rotation, Clemson posted a 49.225 on vault, tied for its third-best showing ever, to hold on over Auburn. Host No. 2 LSU posted a 198.375.

Bars: 49.200 – Clemson UB Record for NCAA Meet

Clemson opened the meet on uneven bars with a 49.200, the highest program mark in an NCAA meet, surpassing the 48.900 in the 2025 Regional Semifinal. Emma Malewski led the Tigers with a 9.875 in the third position, while Hannah Clark had a 9.850. Lilly Lippeatt, Ella Cesario and Quinn Kuhl each added matching 9.825s as Clemson counted five scores of 9.825 or higher in the rotation.

Beam: 49.225

The Tigers bettered their opening score with a 49.200 on balance beam. Brie Clark led the rotation with a 9.875, while Tara Walsh added a 9.850. Emma Malewski, Ella Cesario and Quinn Kuhl each contributed 9.825s as Clemson counted five scores of 9.825 or higher after dropping the leadoff score.

Through two rotations: 

Clemson’s 98.400 places the Tigers second in the team standings, trailing LSU (99.100) and ahead of Auburn (98.275) and Nebraska (97.475).

Floor: 49.150

Clemson posted a 49.150 on floor in the third rotation. Floor All-American Brie Clark lived up to her honor, anchoring the lineup with a team-best 9.950, while Lilly Lippeatt and Tara Walsh each added 9.850s. Clark’s 9.950 was her fifth of the season. Maggie Holman contributed a 9.825 as Clemson counted five scores of 9.800 or higher.

Through three rotations

Clemson’s 147.575 placed the Tigers second overall, trailing LSU (148.675) and just ahead of Auburn (147.525) and Nebraska (146.350).

Vault: 49.225 – T-3rd in school history, 2nd best of season

Clemson closed the meet on vault with a 49.225. Clark led the rotation with a career-best 9.900 in the leadoff spot, while Madison Minner and Ella Cesario each scored 9.850. Maggie Holman added a 9.825. Paige Anastasi put in a 9.800 in the anchor spot as Clemson secured its final total of 196.800.
