The college basketball transfer portal officially opened on Tuesday, and among the portal players that Clemson has reportedly been in contact with is this all-conference guard.
Purdue Fort Wayne transfer Corey Hadnot II has heard from the Tigers, according to college basketball insider Sam Kayser.
Hadnot is coming off an outstanding 2025-26 season, earning All-Horizon League First Team honors.
The 6-foot-3, 175-pound junior averaged 20.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest while shooting 52 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from 3-point range. He ranked 25th in the nation, and tops in the Horizon League, in points per game.
Hadnot’s breakout campaign came after steady improvement each of his first two years. He went from averaging 6.2 points as a freshman, to 9.0 as a sophomore and then 20.4 this past season. His field goal percentage increased from 40.9 percent to 44.6 percent to 52 percent.
The Atlanta native earned Horizon League All-Freshman Team honors in 2023-24.
Other schools that Hadnot has heard from, per Kayser, include Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Houston, TCU, Auburn, Ohio State, Alabama, St. John’s, Mississippi State, Georgetown, Florida State, Georgia, Baylor and Cincinnati.
