Clemson landed a commitment from an in-state defensive tackle on Saturday.
Dutch Fork’s Jaden Wuerth has committed to the Tigers while visiting for the Spring Elite Day. He picked up an offer from Clemson in January after getting a visit from assistant Nick Eason, then returned for the Elite Retreat in March.
As a junior, Wuerth totaled 62 tackles with 18 tackles for loss in helping the Silver Foxes to another state title. He also had 14 sacks and three forced fumbles.
The composite 3-star prospect’s offer list includes Miami, South Carolina, NC State, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and others. He had official visits scheduled with NC State and Virginia Tech and was considering adding South Carolina to that list.
Wuerth is the first defensive lineman to commit to the Tigers in the 2027 class, which now features seven verbal pledges.
