Last week, Seth Williams went public with his decommitment from Clemson.
The three-star safety (Lakeside, GA) had just committed on March 24 while on an unofficial visit. However, he quickly realized he’d made the decision before he was really ready to do so, prompting him to open things back up. However, Williams told The Clemson Insider he is still locked in to be at the big official visit weekend, May 29-31.
Since the decommitment, Williams has made visits to Georgia, Georgia Tech and Florida. Pitt and Virginia Tech have also jumped in with offers.
The visit to Gainesville happened over the weekend, and not only did it result in an offer, but Williams has also scheduled an official with the Gators from June 11-13. Williams told TCI that Vanderbilt will also get an official. Those are the only three that have been locked in at this point.
The Tigers already have one safety committed in the class, with three-star Harrison Luke announcing a verbal pledge back in September.
As a junior in 2025, Williams recorded 73 tackles, two interceptions, five tackles for loss, one forced fumble and five pass breakups, to go with 10 receptions for 222 yards and three touchdowns.
