Sharman Earns Second ACC Weekly Honor

CLEMSON — Senior lefthander Michael Sharman (Woodstock, Ga.) was named ACC Pitcher-of-the-Week, announced Monday by the league office. He joined Wake Forest’s Kade Lewis, who was named ACC Player-of-the-Week, in receiving conference accolades. ACC baseball weekly honors are determined by a vote of a select media panel and are announced on Mondays throughout the regular season.

It marked Sharman’s second ACC weekly honor in 2026, as he was named ACC Pitcher-of-the-Week on March 2 for his complete-game performance against South Carolina on Feb. 28. Sharman joined Notre Dame righthander Jack Radel as the only ACC players to earn ACC weekly honors twice in 2026.

Sharman pitched 8.0 strong innings to earn the win in Clemson’s 5-1 victory at No. 9 Virginia on Friday. Against a team who entered the series averaging 8.9 runs per game, he allowed six hits, one run and one walk (which was intentional) with seven strikeouts. He threw 100 pitches, 76 of which were strikes.

On the season, he is 5-1 with a 2.70 ERA, .197 opponents’ batting average and 55 strikeouts against 10 walks in 56.2 innings pitched over 10 starts.
