Just days after including Clemson in his list of finalists, a top recruiting target has confirmed the Tigers will get an official visit.

Four-star DE Cahron Wheeler (St. Paul’s, MN) tells The Clemson Insider that he will be on hand for the big official visit weekend, May 29-31. He will then be in Florida the following weekend, June 5-7.

On Monday, Wheeler named his six finalists with Clemson, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Auburn and Florida all making the cut.

The 6-foot-5, 266-pound prospect picked up his offer from the Tigers after visiting for the Elite Retreat.

Wheeler ranks No. 112 overall in the Composite Rankings and No. 14 among all defensive linemen in the 2027 class.
