4-Star OL With Connection to Clemson Sets Next Visit

A Kansas lineman with a connection to Clemson is set to return to campus this summer.

2028 four-star offensive lineman Reece Wilmes tells The Clemson Insider that he will be back for Dabo Swinney’s high school camp on June 3. The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder is the younger brother of current freshman Braden Wilmes, and their mom is an alum. Wilmes also worked out at camp last summer.

The younger Wilmes already holds offers from Indiana, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Missouri, among others. The Tigers will start handing out offers that first week in June, the same week as camp.

“It would be pretty awesome to get an offer from a top 25 program in college football,” Wilmes previously told TCI. “My mom and uncle are Clemson grads, so I’ve grown up wearing orange and being a Tiger fan. Absolutely, the thought of playing with (Braden) in college has crossed my mind. It would be pretty cool, but I’ve got a long time and a lot of hard work ahead of me before something like that becomes a possibility.”

The Rivals Industry Rankings slot Wilmes No. 228 overall and No. 14 among all interior linemen in the class.
