Another Clemson target has come off the board.
Four-star TE Jaxon Dollar (East Lincoln, NC) announced a commitment to Georgia on Thursday, choosing the Bulldogs over Notre Dame and Miami. Clemson and Texas rounded out his top five.
Dollar picked up one of Clemson’s opening offers last summer and was last on campus for the Elite Retreat last month. However, the writing has been on the wall, as the 6-foot-5 prospect, who is considered the second-best tight end in the class per Rivals, has been trending in the opposite direction for some time now.
The Tigers have missed on each of the first three tight ends offered in the 2027 class. Four-star Grant Haviland, who also nabbed one of the opening offers, committed to Vanderbilt. Three-star Tommy Douglas, who picked up his offer last month, recently committed to Florida.
Clemson responded by handing out two new offers. One went to three-star Carter Blackwell, who is scheduled to be on hand for the big official visit weekend, May 29-31. The other went to three-star Mason Hall.
