4-Star Target Names Top Schools, Scratches Clemson Official

A Clemson wide receiver target has trimmed his list of favorites.

Four-star wideout Deshawn Hall (Prattville, AL) named his seven finalists on Thursday, with Clemson, Penn State, Michigan, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn and Ohio State each making the cut.

Hall visited Clemson in late March and picked up an offer in the process.

“This ain’t one of those offers that coaches just hand out,” Hall told TCI recently. “You really got to be a top-notch player. You really got to work for this one.”

However, Hall also revealed that he’s made a change in his official visit schedule. Instead of attending Clemson’s big official visit gathering, May 29-31, he will now be at Auburn that weekend. The Tigers are also hosting some targets on officials the weekend of June 12-14, but Hall will be at Alabama that weekend.

Official Visit Schedule

  • Auburn: May 29
  • Penn State: June 5
  • Alabama: June 12
  • Tennessee: June 19

Whether Clemson ends up getting an official at this point remains to be seen, but it is Tennessee that is currently leading the pack.

247 ranks the 6-foot-5 receiver No. 174 overall and No. 23 among all receivers in the 2027 class.
