One of Clemson’s top offensive line targets is shutting down earlier than expected.
Four-star Elijah Hutcheson (North Cross, VA) will announce a decision on Tuesday at 4 p.m. The finalists are Clemson, Virginia Tech, Florida and Vanderbilt.
The 6-foot-6, 275-pound prospect picked up his offer from the Tigers back in January. He worked out at camp last summer, returned for the season-opener against LSU and then attended the Elite Retreat in March.
Hutcheson is another recruit with whom the Gators have made a really strong push in recent weeks. He was scheduled to be at the official visit weekend, May 29-31.
Hutcheson played last season at Rabun Gap in Georgia but is back in Virginia at North Cross for his senior campaign.
The 247 Composite ranks Hutcheson No. 85 overall and No. 7 among all tackles in the 2027 class.
