TCI Recruiting Roundup: New Update On 4-Star WR Target

One of Clemson’s wide receiver targets has added a couple of new stops to his official visit docket.

Four-star Taurean Rawlins (Mount Vernon, GA) has added both Arkansas and Vanderbilt to his schedule. He plans to be at Clemson for an official, June 12-14. Georgia will also get one, May 29-31.

Rawlins recently told The Clemson Insider that he was the first recruit Tyler Grisham paid a visit to once the contact period began. Clemson’s wide receivers coach was back at his high school on Monday, taking in Rawlins’ spring practice. Ohio State was also on hand, and Rawlins has now added an offer from the Buckeyes.

The 6-foot wideout made his first visit to Clemson for the spring game in March. The Tigers have yet to offer, despite him scheduling an official.

“They’ve been saying that they just really like to build that relationship,” Rawlins recently told TCI. “They told me they like to build the relationship, get me on campus — I went on campus, really enjoyed it. And now they have come to my house too. But I am just being patient it.”

As a junior, Rawlins posted just under 1,400 receiving yards with 17 touchdown grabs. He averaged close to 21 yards per catch and 127 yards per game.
