JJ Brown is one of the most recent players in the 2027 class to pick up an offer from Clemson.
The four-star offensive lineman (ParkView, GA) picked up his offer late last month after an unofficial visit to campus and Brown has now locked in plans for his next visit.
The 6-foot-6, 305-pounder will be back for the big official visit weekend, May 29-31. Auburn and Georgia are also set to get officials.
“Knowing how selective Clemson is, the offer meant a lot,” he said. “It was a blessing and showed they believe in me.”
The Bulldogs have gotten numerous visits, and could be the team to beat heading down the stretch.
Brown ranks No. 276 overall in the Rivals Industry Ratings and No. 24 among all tackles in the class.
Quarterbacks coach Tajh Boyd made a school stop to check in with 2028 four-star QB Trace Hawkins (Calhoun, GA) on Thursday. Hawkins made two visits to Clemson during the spring. He visited for the spring game and then returned for the Spring Elite Day.
“I feel like I can fit in their scheme really well,” he said. “With the plays they run and how they use their quarterbacks.”
As a sophomore last season, Hawkins threw for 2,442 yards with 24 touchdowns to just three interceptions. He also had three rushing touchdowns.
Rivals ranks him No. 139 overall and No. 11 among all quarterbacks in the 2028 class.
Hawkins is expected to compete at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp early next month, but has yet to lock in a date.
