A recently offered cornerback has announced his finalists and set a commitment date.
Three-star Nash Johnson (McEachern, GA) will announce on July 1. The finalists are Clemson, Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
Johnson visited Clemson in early May, picking up an offer in the process. The 6-foot-1 prospect was at one time committed to Alabama before opening up his recruitment back up in April.
Despite recently picking up an offer, Johnson has yet to schedule an official visit to Clemson. He is slated to be at Auburn, May 29-31, the same dates as the big official visit weekend. Dabo Swinney is also hosting some officials June 12-14, but Johnson is scheduled to be at Tennessee that weekend. Ole Miss and Miami will also get officials.
Miami and Auburn have both made strong pushes of late, with Johnson referring to both as his top schools at one point or another.
Clemson already has one cornerback committed in the 2027 class, with three-star legacy recruit Christian Chancellor announcing a verbal pledge last summer. Four-star Jayden Aparicio-Bailey, four-star Bryce Williams and three-star Bryant Robinson are players at the position scheduled to be at the big official visit weekend.
