Priority DL Target Sets Commitment Date, Names Finalists

One of Clemson’s top defensive line targets is down to five schools.

Four-star in-state DL Seth Tillman (South Pointe) released his list of five finalists on Tuesday that included Clemson, Michigan, South Carolina, Kentucky and Georgia.

As previously reported, Tillman is scheduled to give Clemson one of his official visits the weekend of June 12. The Gamecocks have already gotten an official, with Georgia (May 29) and Michigan (June 5) also scheduled for officials. Tillman has yet to set one for Kentucky.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pounder is planning to announce a commitment on July 11.

Tillman has long been on Clemson’s radar, picking up one of the Tigers’ opening offers last summer after working out at camp. He returned for the season-opener against LSU, then was back for the Elite Retreat in March.

“Clemson was awesome,” Tillman told TCI after the most recent visit. “I learned a lot about expectations from the coaches.”

As a junior, the 6-foot-4, 270-pound prospect totaled 61 tackles, 27 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.

The Rivals Industry Rankings slot him No. 131 overall, No. 13 among all defensive linemen and No. 2 in the state of South Carolina.
