Clemson is putting all of its efforts into landing a longstanding cornerback target.
Three members of the staff went in-home with four-star Jayden Aparicio-Bailey, as defensive coordinator Tom Allen, cornerbacks coach Mike Reed and safeties coach Nolan Turner visited the 6-foot-2 defensive back.
Aparicio-Bailey picked up one of the Tigers’ opening offers after an impressive showing at camp last June. He then visited for the season-opener against LSU before returning for the Elite Retreat in March.
“They stack up pretty well. They are definitely strong in my recruitment,” Aparicio-Bailey said in a previous interview. “I am definitely looking forward to continuing the process with them.”
The blue-chip talent recently released his list of five finalists, which included Clemson, Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina and Ohio State. His official visit schedule is as follows.
- Clemson: May 29
- Georgia: June 5
- Auburn: June 12
- South Carolina: June 19
- Ohio State: TBD
After playing at Oak Mountain in Alabama previously, Aparicio-Bailey will transfer to Prattville for the 2026 season.
While the recruiting services list him as a safety, Clemson has been recruiting Aparicio-Bailey as a corner, although he certainly has the capability to play either.
The 247 Composite ranks him No. 134 overall and No. 9 among all safeties in the 2027 class.
