One of Clemson’s top safety targets continues to see his stock rise.
Three-star Seth Williams (Lakeside, GA) picked up several new offers over the past week, with Georgia, Michigan and Louisville each pulling the trigger. North Carolina also offered a little over a week ago. However, it’s the offer from the Dawgs that could change things.
Williams made headlines after abruptly announcing a commitment to Clemson while on an unofficial visit in late March. The 6-foot-3 defensive back would quickly realize he’d made a mistake by committing so quickly and went public with a decommitment about two weeks later. However, the Tigers have remained as one of his top schools and he’s still scheduled to be at the big official visit weekend, May 29-31. Florida State (June 5-7) and Florida (June 11-13) are also on the docket.
After speaking with Williams on Saturday, I fully expect Georgia to get added to his schedule. He took an unofficial to Athens during the spring. At the same time, I don’t see Clemson getting displaced. The Tigers are going to get their shot. Although, this latest development will certainly make it tougher to lock him down.
As a junior in 2025, Williams recorded 73 tackles, two interceptions, five tackles for loss, one forced fumble and five pass breakups, to go with 10 receptions for 222 yards and three touchdowns.
