Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver and former Clemson star Tee Higgins has two 1,000-yard seasons under his belt in his NFL career. He has hauled in double-digit touchdown receptions in each of the last two seasons, including a career-high 11 last year.
However, Higgins has never reached the 1,000-yard receiving plateau, and caught 10 or more touchdown passes, in the same season. But that’s exactly what he hopes to achieve as he enters his seventh NFL campaign in 2026.
In a recent interview with Rob Gregson of A to Z Sports, Higgins revealed that he’s aiming for his first 1,000-yard, 10-touchdown season.
“I’m trying to shoot for that 1,000 yards this year. I missed that the last few seasons. I’m trying to get at least 10 touchdowns. Just throwing some goals out there,” Higgins said.

Higgins is coming off a 2025 season where he earned his first career Pro Bowl selection. In 15 games last year, he registered 59 receptions for 846 yards, and he tied for second in the NFL with his 11 touchdown receptions despite missing a couple of games due to concussions.
Though Higgins had never been a Pro Bowler before last season, he has been highly productive over his six NFL seasons since being selected by the Bengals in the second round (33rd overall pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Entering the 2026 season, he has caught 389 passes for 5,441 yards and 45 touchdowns across 85 career regular season games, while recording at least 900 receiving yards in four of his first six seasons, including back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns in 2021 and 2022. Higgins has also appeared in seven playoff games and ranks second in Bengals history in both postseason receptions (31) and postseason receiving yards (457).
Higgins isn’t just looking to put up gaudy individual numbers this season. He’s eyeing his first Super Bowl ring, as well.
The Bengals have made three Super Bowl appearances in franchise history but lost on all three occasions.
“Any other team’s expectations, man — win that [Super] Bowl. That’s No. 1,” Higgins said, when asked about team goals for the Bengals. “Other than that, man, just really finishing games at the end of the day. We’ve got to finish.”
The Bengals are hoping to bounce back from a 6-11 season last year and return to the playoffs for the first time since the 2022 season, when they reached the AFC Championship Game. Their last Super Bowl appearance came at the end of the 2021 season, when they fell to the Los Angeles Rams by a score of 23-20 in Super Bowl LVI. Higgins had a stellar performance in that Super Bowl, catching four passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns.
