One of Clemson’s top targets has trimmed his list to four.
Three-star DE Kalib Spivey named his four finalists on Monday, with Clemson, Georgia Tech, Duke and Maryland making the cut. Each of the finalists will get an official visit.
“They check all the boxes,” Spivey told TCI after the March visit. “I had a meeting with Coach Rumph, and he just showed me the development standpoint. How the things you do in practice translate to the game. I was just watching that, and I was really impressed.”
Spivey picked up his offer from the Tigers after attending the Elite Retreat in March and is set to give Clemson and official, June 12-14.
The 6-foot-2, 245-pound edge rusher said he was hoping to sit down and make a decision in early July after al of his officials.
“I just want to go somewhere I can see myself being developed as a man and a player,” Spivey said. “I want to get a good education too.”
