Clemson is set to lose a member of its pitching staff.
The Clemson Insider has confirmed that left-handed hurler Talan Bell plans to enter the transfer portal.
Bell was eased back into action during the 2025 season as he worked his way back from an injury. He made eight starts and finished 0-2 with an ERA of 5.56 in 22.2 innings pitched. He struck out 22 and walked 15.
However, the southpaw was expected to be a key piece in the Tigers’ weekend rotation this season, but that never materialized. After five starts, he was relegated to the bullpen. In 13 appearances, his ERA was 7.82. He struck out 23 and walked 13 in 25.1 innings pitched.
Bell also played some in the outfield this season, going 2-for-10 at the plate with one home run and one run driven in.
The left-handed hurler was a big-time prospect coming out of high school, with Perfect Game ranking him No. 33 overall and No. 5 among all left-handed pitchers.
He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
