4-Star QB Sets Next Clemson Visit

After visiting twice in the spring, Trace Hawkins has set a return date to Clemson.

The four-star quarterback, out of Calhoun High School (GA), tells The Clemson Insider that he will work out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp on June 2.

“I am looking forward to camp at Clemson and geting coached by Coach (Tajh) Boyd and Coach (Chad) Morris,” Hawkins told TCI.

Iowa State, Kentucky and Cincinnati have all offered this month. Other schools to have previously offered include Auburn, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Florida and SMU.

Hawkins visited Clemson for the spring game, then returned for the spring elite day in April. Quarterbacks coach Tajh Boyd went and visited him at his high school early this month. He also visited Florida, Florida State and Vanderbilt in April. He was at Tennessee in March.

As a sophomore last season, Hawkins threw for 2,442 yards with 24 touchdowns to just three interceptions. He also had three rushing touchdowns.

The Rivals Industry Rankings slot him No. 268 overall and No. 19 among all quarterbacks in the 2028 class.

The Tigers will start handing out offers to players in the 2028 class the week of camp.
