Erik Bakich and the Clemson Baseball team have suffered a decommitment.
JUCO catcher/shortstop Colin Guerra announced on Wednesday that he was reopening his recruitment.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have decommitted from Clemson and am opening back up my recruitment,” Guerra posted to X (formerly known as Twitter).
Guerra just committed in March and just wrapped up his sophomore season at Chipola College in Marianna, Florida.
Through the first 33 games for his team this season, he was hitting .386 with six home runs, 32 RBI and 12 stolen bases.
As a freshman, he hit .311 with 35 RBIs and 16 stolen bases.
The Tigers are coming off a disappointing 2026 campaign that saw the program miss the NCAA Tournament for the first time during the Bakich era.
