Clemson Adds Second Portal Piece

CLEMSON – Another portal addition is headed to Clemson.

Isaac Incinelli, a junior college product out of St. John’s River State College, has committed to the Tigers, his family announced on social media Saturday.

“Issac has officially committed to play baseball at Clemson,” his mother, Nicole, wrote on Instagram. “Couldn’t be more grateful, proud, and excited. Go Tigers!”

As a freshman, the infielder maintained a .366 batting average, blasting 70 hits and batting in 45 runs at St. John’s River. He hit nine home runs and nine doubles to help the Vikings to a 34-22 record. He also scored 48 runs and walked 26 times.

The Winter Park, Fla., native held a .446 on-base percentage and a .555 slugging percentage in 54 games and was named to the Sun Lakes conference first team. He was also named the Conference Defender of the Year after notching a .959 fielding percentage and committing nine errors at shortstop.

Conversely, the Tigers were among the bottom of the ACC ranks in most defensive categories last season, and in a postseason press conference, Bakich noted that improved technique and toughness would be a priority ahead of next season.

Before his time at St. John’s River, Incinelli led Winter Park high school to a 25-6 campaign his senior season in 2025, and was named the 7A District 11 Player of the Year, hitting .383 in a deep postseason push. He hails from the same hometown as current Clemson pitcher Chance Fitzgerald.

He will have three years of eligibility remaining, assuming the current junior college eligibility rules stand. Incinelli’s commitment marks the first direct junior college under head coach Erik Bakich at Clemson, though other players have been through Juco ranks before finding their way to the Tigers after other Division One opportunities. Among them was Michael Sharman, who started at a junior college before becoming a weekend starter at Clemson.

The Tigers were set to acquire another junior college product, switch-hitter Colin Guerra, but he reopened his recruitment in May after initially committing to Clemson in March.

Incinelli marks the second portal pickup from Bakich and his staff, after nine former Clemson players announced their departures since the portal opened on June 1. The first came last week, when catcher Bennett Edwards announced his transfer from Georgia Southern.
