Clemson’s hot streak on the recruiting trail continues.
Three-star linebacker RJ Hudson (Varina, VA) announced a commitment to the Tigers on Friday during a ceremony at his high school.
Hudson is one of the newest targets in the 2027 class, picking up his offer from Clemson two weeks ago after having worked out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp. He was back on campus last weekend for an official visit.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder also took an official visit to Maryland. He was originally scheduled to visit Syracuse last weekend, but after the offer from the Tigers that trip was scratched so he could get back to Clemson.
Hudson becomes the 16th player to commit since the middle of May. His addition now gives the Tigers 23 verbal pledges in a recruiting class that ranks just outside the Top 10 nationally.
Hudson is the third linebacker to commit, joining four-star Bryce Kish and three-star Max Brown. The Tigers are now likely done at the position.
