Two years ago, EA Sports relaunched its iconic college football video game, marking the first college football game from EA Sports to be released since 2013.
Now, the newest edition of the game – EA Sports College Football 27 – is set to release on July 9.
As part of the game, EA Sports once again ranked the toughest stadiums to play in. On June 22, EA Sports released its list of the top 25 toughest places to play in College Football 27, a list that was put together by the game’s development team.
Two years ago, when EA Sports unveiled the top 25 toughest places to play for the College Football 25 game, Clemson’s Memorial Stadium did not even make the top 10 — despite the fact that the Tigers had a stretch where they went 62-1 at home from 2013-22, including a streak of 40 straight wins.
After Clemson/Memorial Stadium came in at No. 12 on the EA Sports list for College Football 25, Clemson moved into the top 10 last year. For last year’s College Football 26 game, Memorial Stadium was ranked No. 6 among the toughest places to play.
For the newest edition, Clemson/Memorial Stadium dropped three spots and is now ranked as the No. 9 toughest place to play in the College Football 27 game.
LSU’s Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. – where Clemson will open the 2026 season on Sept. 5 (7:30 p.m., ABC) – is ranked as the No. 1 toughest place to play.
Ohio State’s Ohio Stadium, Penn State’s Beaver Stadium, Georgia’s Sanford Stadium and Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium round out the top five.
South Carolina’s Williams-Brice Stadium is ranked No. 16.
Along with Clemson, three other ACC stadiums made the list in Florida State’s Doak S. Campbell Stadium (No. 21), Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium (No. 22) and NC State’s Carter-Finley Stadium (No. 23).
Clemson will travel to Doak Campbell Stadium this season on Oct. 31.
