The Clemson baseball team is heading back to the Lone Star State.
The Tigers will open the 2027 season by playing in the Shriners Children’s College Showdown, set to be held February 19-21 at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. Clemson opened the 2025 season playing in the same showdown, going 2-1 in the event. The Tigers got wins over Oklahoma State and Arizona, before falling to Ole Miss on the final day.
Other teams set to take part include TCU, Virginia, Texas, Arizona and an Oklahoma program that just won the College World Series.
Opponents and game times will be announced at a later date.
Erik Bakich’s team will be looking to rebound after an extremely disappointing 2026 campaign that saw the Tigers go 31-26 and miss the NCAA Tournament for the first time during Bakich’s four-year tenure.
