One of Clemson’s top recruiting targets in the 2027 class is set to transfer.

SF Josh Leonard, one of the top players in the country, will transfer to IMG Academy. Leonard has been playing for Wilson High School in Florence, S.C. Leonard took an unofficial visit to Clemson for the Tigers’ Senior Day matchup against Virginia Tech in March. South Carolina and NC State also got unofficial visits last season.

The 6-foot-7 prospect was named Gatorade High Player of the Year after a stellar 2025-26 season that saw Leonard average 22.3 points, 12.9 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game.

Leonard currently has well over a dozen offers, with some of the other schools in pursuit including Michigan, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Cincinnati Ole Miss and Cal.

Rivals ranks Leonard No. 24 overall and No. 7 among all PFs in the class. He was the top-rated player in the Palmetto State.
