A former Clemson Tiger has landed at a new school.
Catcher Steele Burd has announced a commitment to Charleston Southern.
Burd redshirted in 2024, his only season at Clemson, then entered the transfer portal at the conclusion of fall ball late last year. Burd then transferred to State College of Florida, where he hit .285 with 12 home runs and 42 RBI last season.
Coming out of high school, the Hilton Head native was ranked by Perfect Game as the 19th best player in the Palmetto State and the fifth-best catcher.
