CLEMSON — The Clemson Football team will report for fall camp on Aug. 4 and will hit the practice fields for the first time on Aug. 6.

“We’re ready to go do it,” Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said. “Big picture, from a team standpoint, our roster is in a good spot. We have all the guys that we expect to be there. We’re trending in a good direction, you know, as far as camp, being ready to go in camp.”

Clemson heads to camp in a whole different light than it was this time last year. Prior to camp in 2025, everyone was talking about the College Football Playoff and National Championship contender.

This year, the talk is different. There is no College Football Playoff talk. There is no National Championship discussion.

The Tigers will likely not be one of the favorites to win the ACC when the league’s media preseason poll is released on Monday. It has been since 2014 since Clemson was not considered a favorite to win the league.

“You turn the page, man! We have long moved past last year. It’s all about this team,” Swinney said. “We’ve been rolling since January, and this is, for us, kind of heading into the third quarter of our journey. It’s a four-quarter journey and you don’t win the game at halftime.

“But we’re kind of entering in what we call the primetime phase of 2026. And we got to get off to a good start in this this phase of it. And that starts with your meetings and your camp. And, hopefully, you catch a little bit of luck along the way from a health standpoint. Then you take it to game day. It’s not really anything to balance at this point. It’s all about 2026.”
