USA Today ranked the top college football stadiums, both in the ACC and in the country overall.

Clemson’s Memorial Stadium is ranked as the ACC’s No. 1 stadium, ahead of Florida State’s Doak S. Campbell Stadium at No. 2 and Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium at No. 3.

Clemson enjoyed a stretch where it went 62-1 at home in Death Valley from 2013-22, including an ACC-record 40-game home winning streak, tied for the eighth-longest streak in FBS history.

“When talking about identity, Clemson Memorial Stadium has it in spades,” USA Today’s Kevin Skiver wrote. “Indeed, it isn’t just one of the most raucous atmospheres in the ACC. It stands up to most of college football. Between the Death Valley moniker, Howard’s Rock, and the run down ‘The Hill,’ not to mention Clemson’s historical success (though that has waned in recent seasons), it’s hard to top the intimidation factor on college football Saturdays.”

Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium and Cal’s California Memorial Stadium round out the top five of the ACC stadium rankings.

Clemson will play a conference game on the West Coast for the first time in school history when the Tigers face the Golden Bears at California Memorial Stadium on Friday, Sept. 25.

After Clemson’s road contest at Florida State on Oct. 31, the Tigers will travel to face Syracuse on Nov. 7 at JMA Wireless Dome, which is No. 9 in the ACC stadium rankings.

Clemson’s final 2026 ACC regular season contest will come at Duke’s Wallace Wade Stadium, which is ranked No. 14.

As for USA Today’s rankings of the 25 best stadiums in all of college football, Clemson’s Memorial Stadium checked in at No. 11.

LSU’s Tiger Stadium, where Clemson will open the 2026 season on Sept. 5 (7:30 p.m., ABC), is ranked as the No. 1 stadium.

“A night game in Baton Rouge is an animal unlike any other,” USA Today wrote. “Bear Bryant described Tiger Stadium as ‘the worst place in the world for a visiting team.’ LSU fans specialize in tailgating, full of culinary delights and plenty of imbibing. Then the game starts with the hostility on display that gives opposing players and fans something to forget. One thing to remember? The singalong for ‘Garth Brooks and ‘Callin’ Baton Rouge.’”

Besides Clemson, the only ACC stadium in USA Today’s national rankings is Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium at No. 16.

South Carolina’s Williams-Brice Stadium just cracked the rankings, coming in at No. 25.

“Long one of college football’s most underrated venues, Williams-Brice is getting overdue respect the past few years,” USA Today wrote. “Never mind that South Carolina isn’t a blue blood or that they copied the hedges look of Georgia. When ‘Sandstorm’ plays and those white towels wave, or when the crowd turns up the decibels on third down, you know you’re at a special place that packs a punch.”
