Clemson has only offered two safeties in the 2028 recruiting class, and both have now set game-day visits for the upcoming season.

As previously reported, four-star Giovanni Tuggle will be on hand for Clemson’s home matchup against ACC foe Miami on October 3.

Now we know when the Tigers’ other safety offer will be back on campus. Four-star Dion Edwards (Tyner Academy, TN) tells The Clemson he is planning to wait until the regular season finale against the Gamecocks to make his return. That game will take place on November 28.

Edwards picked up his offer back in June after working out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp. It was his second time visiting campus. He made his first trip last season for the loss to Syracuse.

“I mean, it is a big deal, you know,” Edwards recently told TCI. “Any offer is a big deal to me, but Clemson is definitely a big deal since I know their process.

“Obviously, I like their offer process. I respect it because it is different. It is not like they are offering everybody. It is just a select few.”

Edwards will also visit Notre Dame in November, as he will take in the Irish’s game against Miami on November 7. He’s also scheduled to visit Miami on October 17 for the ‘Canes rivalry matchup against Florida State.

The 6-foot defensive back has close to 20 offers in total. 247 ranks him No. 88 overall and No. 4 among all safeties in the class. He also ranks No. 4 in the state of Tennessee.
