A game-day visit to Clemson is back on for one Peach State recruit.

Three-star safety Isaiah Reeves (Mountain View, GA) tells The Clemson Insider that his September 19 visit for the ACC home opener against North Carolina is back on. Reeves announced last week that he was planning to reveal a commitment on Sunday, but he has now postponed that announcement indefinitely. Had he announced a decision, his visit to Clemson would have been off.

“Just the energy in the stadium and like just the atmosphere on the game days. The tailgating,” Reeves told TCI when asked what he’s looking forward to about the next visit. “Just how cool the energy gets around the place. That would be one of the main things I want to see on the game day visit.”

When Reeves set his commitment date, he announced Florida, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Tennessee as his five finalists. All of those teams have offered, as Reeves has close to 30 in total. However, now that he is keeping his recruitment open, this is back to being a race any team can win.

All five of those schools are also set to get visits this fall, along with Kentucky, and of course the one to Clemson. Each of those schools has offered, except for the Tigers. That is a big part of why Reeves put Clemson on the docket. It’s an offer he wants.

“That offer would really probably mean the most,” Reeves said. “They really don’t give out many.”

This won’t be Reeves’ first time visiting. He made his first trip to campus back in June. And since then, safeties coach Nolan Turner has ramped up the communication.

“We just started talking a lot more after June 15th,” Reeves said. “We just talk consistently. Almost every week we are talking. Or just texting and chopping it up.”
