One of Clemson’s top wideouts was held out of Saturday’s scrimmage at Memorial Stadium.

Junior wide receiver T.J. Moore was not able to go, as head coach Dabo Swinney revealed he’s a little banged up.

“T.J. was not able to go today, but he should be back here soon,” Swinney said after Saturday’s scrimmage.

Saturday was the first scrimmage of fall camp, with the second one set to be held on Thursday.

Moore recorded 52 catches for 837 yards and four touchdowns while starting all 13 games as a sophomore in 2025. He led the Tigers in receiving yards and earned third-team All-ACC honors from Phil Steele.

After catching 45 passes for 651 yards and five touchdowns over 14 games (nine starts) in his debut season, Moore joined Justyn Ross, Artavis Scott and Sammy Watkins as the only players in Clemson history to record at least 650 receiving yards in each of their freshman and sophomore campaigns.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder enters the 2026 season having amassed 97 receptions for 1,488 yards and nine touchdowns over 27 games (22 starts) across his first two seasons with the Tigers.

Moore is expected to be one of the starters on the outside, along with Bryant Wesco, when Clemson opens the season at LSU on September 5.

“He is just banged up,” Swinney added. “He should be good to go here soon.”
