CLEMSON — Though LSU has signed two former NFL players to return to college, the Southeastern Conference does not condon the Bayou Bengals’ actions.

LSU signed former Cleveland Browns tight end Dae’Quan Wright on Monday, as well as defensive lineman Zxavian Harris, who was in training camp with the New Orleans Saints earlier this month. A Louisiana judge granted Wright, Harris and 14 others last Thursday a temporary restraining order to return to college football and have access to the transfer portal as well.

Both players played for LSU head coach Lane Kiffin when he was the head man at Ole Miss last season. Now the question is what will the SEC do after its presidents met on Monday and released this strong statement below on pro players returning to college.

Does this mean Wright and Harris cannot play against Clemson on Sept. 5 when the ACC’s Tigers make the trip south to Louisiana? It will be interesting to see how the league and LSU handle the situation going forward.
