CLEMSON — Clemson led Georgia Southern, 16-7, at halftime of Saturday night’s game at Memorial Stadium.

The Tigers compiled 257 total yards and 16 first downs in the first half, while limiting the Eagles to 111 yards and three first downs.

Clemson scored its lone touchdown of the first half on a 10-yard pass from quarterback Christopher Vizzina to wide receiver TJ Moore at the 11:01 mark of the first quarter. Georgia Southern’s only touchdown was a 42-yard reception by wide receiver Ashton Hollins, thrown by quarterback Max Johnson, with 3:03 remaining before the half.
