Clemson Commit Celebrates Birthday In Style, Another Off to Blazing Start

One of Clemson’s current commits has gotten off to an extremely strong start.

Three-star in-state DL Jaden Wuerth (Dutch Fork) has accumulated 8.5 sacks through the first three contests, to go along with 15 tackles and nine tackles for loss.

Wuerth committed to Clemson back in the spring and is one of two defensive tackles currently committed in the 2027 class, joining four-star Seth Tillman, another in-state talent.

“No one compared to Clemson,” Wuerth told The Clemson Insider after his commitment. “I was just tired of going on all of the visits and all the recruitment stuff. The texts and everything. I was just ready to get it over with. And I knew I did not want to go anywhere else but Clemson.”

As a junior, Wuerth totaled 62 tackles with 18 tackles for loss in helping the Silver Foxes to another state title. He also had 14 sacks and three forced fumbles.

Georgia Tech, Miami, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and NC State represent some of his close to 20 offers in total.

Another defensive line commit, three-star edge JiQuan Rogers, had himself quite the game on Thursday, which just happened to coincide with his birthday.

Rogers had seven tackles, with three of those being strip sacks in Ramsey’s 18-7 win over Calera.

Through four games, Rogers has totaled 18 total tackles with five tackles for loss and five sacks.
