4-Star RB Set to Visit Clemson

CLEMSON — One of the nation’s top running backs will make his way to Clemson this weekend.

Four-star Xander Edwards (Bolles School, FL) tells The Clemson Insider that he will be on hand when the Tigers host No. 4 Miami on Saturday night. He attends the same high school that produced freshman wideout, Naeem Burroughs.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound prospect will also be at Virginia Tech on Friday night for the Hokies matchup against Pitt before he heads back down south.

Clemson has yet to offer a running back in the 2028 class.

Edwards was in Florida last weekend for the Gators’ win over Ole Miss, and he was at Wisconsin the week before. Florida State and Kentucky also got early season visits. Ohio State, Miami, Indiana, Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee are all currently scheduled for future visits this season.

Through the first five games of his junior season, Edwards has rushed for 684 yards, averaged 8.7 yards per carry and scored seven touchdowns.

The blue-chip talent has close to 40 offers, including Florida, Miami, Ohio State, Indiana and Tennessee, to name just a few.

Edwards ranks as high as No. 127 overall and No. 6 among all running backs in the 2028 class.
